Dolomiti Superbike

The hardest mountain bike race in the Dolomites takes place in Alta Val Pusteria on Sunday, 12 July 2009.

On July 12, 2009, the 15th edition of the mountain bike race Dolomiti Superbike takes place, which is a very famous and popular, but also very tough race across a breathtaking mountain scenery of Alta Val Pusteria. The start is scheduled for 7.30 am at Villabassa. By the way, there are two different courses the athletes can choose from: the short course includes a distance of 60,5 km and a difference in altitude of 1.785 m, while the long course is 114 km long and is characterised by an ascend of 3.400 m. However, the athletes are free to choose the distance they would like to cycle also after the start, as the first km are the same for both. So hurry up, as the registrations are in full swing.

A wealth of athletes from abroad is expected to take part in this race and approximately 30 different nations will be at the start. Not only is this MTB race so popular due to the internationality of participants, but also thanks to its great venue, which are the Dolomites. Good luck for the athletes, and have fun!
