Maratona dles Dolomites 2009

The Dolomites and Alta Badia are venue for the challenging competition Maratona dles Dolomites, taking place on July 5, 2009.

The preparations for this competition have been in full swing since October 2008 and every day some hundreds athletes registered in order to snatch one of the popular start numbers for the famous Maratona dles Dolomites, bike competition in the heart of the Dolomites, taking place on July 5. The race starts in Corvara and there are three different courses the bikers can choose from:

The longest course is 138 km long and includes an altitude difference of 4,190 m. The medium course is 106 km long, featuring an altitude difference of 3,090 m, while the shortest course is 55 km long with an difference in altitude of some 1,750 m. The latter snakes round Gruppo di Sella alpenstock and along some of the most beautiful mountain passes of the Dolomtes.

The registrations have already been concluded, but you can cheer for the athletes along one of the courses and at the same time spend a great day under the open sky in the Dolomites! So see you on July 5 in Alta Badia!
