Nature parks

A unique flora and fauna characterises the four nature parks extending in Val Pusteria and its side valleys.

Fanes-Senes-Braies nature park, Vedrette di Ries-Aurina nature park, Sesto Dolomites and Hohe Tauern national park, these are the four protected areas extending (in part) in the Val Pusteria and its side valleys. The natural landscapes in these parks really deserve extraordinary protection, offering unique natural experiences to human beings.

Part of the nature parks are also the visitors’ centres, in which you can get informed about flora and fauna in the parks. Every visitors’ centre offers a core theme which is presented in exhibitions, the miniature reconstruction of habitats, often by means of audio-visual media. Dasky, the intelligent badger, however, is especially the kids’ friend, offering child-friendly information and entertainment. Accompany us on our virtual tour across the protected areas of the Val Pusteria.
