The Val Badia is a valley that diverges from the Val Pusteria. It comprises the areas from the Gruppo Sella in the North to the Val Pusteria in the South. One of the characteristics of the valley is, the same as in Val Gardena, the Ladin language, which is a Rhaeto-Romance language. Beside Italian and German, the Ladin language is the third official language in South Tyrol today.
This valley does not only captivate due to its cultural diversity, but also due to several sights. In summer, however, you are spoilt for choice: climbing, hiking, mountain biking, riding, bowling, nordic walking, keep-fit trail… of course also in winter there are numerous possibilities. More than 55 ski lifts, 130 km of well-groomed ski slopes as well as 30 cross-country ski trails are available throughout the Dolomite mountains. Val Badia is also perfect for ski tours. Come to Val Badia… you will be amazed!
