Valdaora di Sopra is the easternmost locality of Valdaora and and is located only a stone’s throw from the artificial lake of Valdaora. This lake is mainly used for the energy production, but is also a popular destination for fishermen. Only with license! The village of Valdaora di Sopra is situated at 1,080 m asl, its church is dedicated to S. Maria and dates back to the 15th century. Its present aspect dates back to the 19th century.
