Alta Pusteria

The Tre Cime di Lavaredo, Lake Braies and Lake Dobbiaco are the main attractions of the Alta Pusteria.

Alta Pusteria, this is where the famous three pinnacles Tre Cime di Lavaredo are located. It comprises the municipalities of Villabassa, San Candido, Braies and Sesto, its mountains belong to the Unesco World Heritage Site.

Flora and fauna are particularly rich in this area. The Fanes Sennes Braies and Sesto Dolomites nature park boast some special natural attractions such as the Lago di Braies, the pearl of the Dolomites, and Lake Dobbiaco, another jewel among the mountain lakes. Already Gustav Mahler appreciated the beauty of this scenery, he had his private composing cottage in Dobbiaco. Also in winter the mountains are calling, the ski carousel Sesto Dolomites provides perfect snow and slope conditions and also several attractions for kids.
